			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jennie Cullen, 104, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Thursday, May 23rd, at Manor Care &#8211; Laureldale. </p>
<p>Jennie was born in Reading, on February 17, 1909, a daughter of the late Mary (Medaglia) and Anthony  DiBiasi.</p>
<p>She was the widow of John M. Cullen. Mr. Cullen died November 17, 1986. </p>
<p>Mrs. Cullen worked as a examiner at Camp Industries for 17 years retired in 1974. She previously worked for Junior Hosiery for 16 years. </p>
<p>She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. </p>
<p>She is survived by several cousins and devoted friend Shirley wife of Irvin Huyett.</p>
<p>Religious Service from the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading, at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 29th. </p>
<p>Friends are invited to call   Wednesday 9:30 &#8211; 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Janice R. Rahn, 88, of Wernersville, passed away Wednesday, May 22nd, at her residence.</p>
<p>Janice was born in Northampton, Pennsylvania on April 25, 1925, a daughter of the late Annetta (Ebling) and Richard McCarty Sr.</p>
<p>She was the wife of Reverend Paul L. Rahn, Pastor Emeritus of Grace Alsace UCC, Reading, PA.</p>
<p>Mrs. Rahn worked as a elementary school teacher for the Muhlenberg School District, for 25 years.</p>
<p>She volunteered at St. Joseph&#8217;s Medical Center and Phoebe Berks Village, Janice was an accomplished alto and sang with the Bach Choir of Bethlehem.</p>
<p>Mrs. Rahn graduated from Northampton High School, attended Albright College, and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Kutztown University.</p>
<p>She was a member of Grace Alsace United Church of Christ, Reading.</p>
<p>Janice is survived by two daughters, Marcia Manon Rahn, wife of Jon Manon, of Newark, DE; Reverend Deborah Rahn Clemens, wife of J. Timothy Clemens of East Greenville; and a son, Paul A. Rahn, husband of Debbie J. Rahn of Plowville.</p>
<p>She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Matthew Manon, and Lydia (Manon) Miller; Annetta (Clemens) Lynch; and Jeremy and Zachary Rahn; and 3 great grandchildren Natalie, and Zoe Manon; and Avalyn Lynch.</p>
<p>Janice was predeceased by a grandson Nathanael Clemens.</p>
<p>Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday May 28th, from 10:00 &#8211; 11:00 A.M. at Grace Alsace United Church of Christ, 2151 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605. A Religious Service will follow at Grace Alsace United Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M. In addition, a memorial reception will be held in the Phoebe Berks Village auditorium on Tuesday May 28th from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.</p>
<p>Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.</p>
<p>Family request donations to Grace Alsace United Church of Christ at the above address.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> Russel Franklin Hartman, 86, of Pennside, died peacefully at home, on May 15th. </p>
<p>Russel was born in Reading, a son of the late Ruth N. (Ludwig) and Franklin D. Hartman.</p>
<p>  For 39 years Russel was married to Geraldine (Arnold) Hartman,(Gerry Hartman) and together they have a daughter,Jennifer,wife of Thomas Smith,Fleetwood. He is also survived by an adorable and cherished grandson,Avery.</p>
<p>He worked for the US Postal Service as a carrier for 38 years. He retired in 1984.. This was a job he loved. Daily he would recall many happy memories of all the wonderful people  he met and that he still saw in the community. </p>
<p>He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Korean War.He  Served in Germany with the 307th Replacement Depot. </p>
<p>Russ was active in many singing groups.Singing  in various church choirs,weddings,playing with his old Lionel Trains,building model airplanes and seeing his  grandson,Avery,brought him much happiness.He was a 32nd Degree Mason,and belonged to St. John.s Lodge #435. For many years he was an active member in the Chanters and Consistory choir at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. </p>
<p>He was a 1944 Graduate of Reading High School.</p>
<p>He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish.  </p>
<p>.</p>
<p>He was predeceased by a brother,Edwin, in 1962.</p>
<p>At Russel&#8217;s request services and burial were private.<br />
A special thank you is extended  to all of his  many  doctor&#8217;s and to all of the loving staff at Dialysis Center on Dengler St.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to Charity of Your Choice.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Robert R. Mauger, 66, of Reading, passed away at 6:50 AM, Saturday, May 11th, after a courageous 31/2 year battle with cancer, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. </p>
<p>Robert was born in Reading, on May 12, 1946, a son of the late Emma (Tischler) and Ralph  Mauger.</p>
<p>He was the husband of Sandra M. (Scianna) Mauger.</p>
<p>He worked as a machinist at Quadrant formerly Polymer Plastic, Reading, for 41 years retired 2007. He also received the quarter century award.</p>
<p>Robert was a member of Ivy Leaf Assoc., Lifetime Jacksons Democratic Club, Northmont Social Club, Fraternal Order of Police, an avid sports fan and enjoyed time with family and friends. </p>
<p>Mr. Mauger graduated from Reading High School in the class of 1964.</p>
<p>In addition to his wife Robert is survived by<br />
four daughters, Sherry L. Scianna, of Boyertown; Tina Dry, Trudy Mauger, and Lynn Mauger.<br />
two sons James W., husband of  Bridget Schaeffer, of Douglassville and Christopher Mauger, of Reading.</p>
<p>Robert is also survived by<br />
two sisters, Louise Folk, and Joyce Russo, both of Temple;<br />
a brother, Carl Mauger, of Reading </p>
<p>He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.</p>
<p>Memorial Service from the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th St., Reading, at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 16th. </p>
<p>Family will receive friends on Thursday 9:00 &#8211; 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.</p>
<p>Interment will be private. </p>
<p>Family request donations to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 4 Park Plaza, Suite 105A, Reading, PA 19610. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Louise F. Brown, 74, of Exeter Township, passed away Monday, May 6th, at Berks Heim, Leesport. </p>
<p>Louise was born in Saxe, Virginia on April 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Bertha (Brown) and James E. Simpson.</p>
<p>She was the widow of Charles W. Brown. Mr. Brown died in 1982.  She had been previously married to Ephrain H. Moseley. </p>
<p>She worked as a laborer at Baldwin Hardware, Reading, for 30 years.  She first worked at Berkshire Knitting as a border. </p>
<p>Mrs Brown graduated from Reading High evening school in 1979.</p>
<p>She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Life Fellowship Church, Reading. </p>
<p>Louise is  survived by<br />
two daughters, Irma Moseley, of Exeter Township;  Deborah Moseley-Stanford, of Shillington;<br />
two sons Earnie R. Moseley, of Wernersville and Timothy A. Moseley, of Exeter Township. </p>
<p>Louise is also survived by<br />
two sisters, Mazie Washington, and Elizabeth Pippen, both of Katonsville, MD;<br />
two brothers, James Simpson, of Baltimore, MD; and George Simpson, of Virginia. </p>
<p>She is also survived by a granddaughter Kyrsten N. Stanford, Shillington</p>
<p>Religious Service from the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading, at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 14th,  with The Rev. Raymond C. Bland officiating. </p>
<p>Friends are invited to call   Tuesday 11:30 A.M. &#8211; 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. </p>
<p>Interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. </p>
