Obituary for Irwin V. Huyett

Irwin V. Huyett, 89, of Mohnton, passed away Wednesday, January 3rd, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

Irwin was born in Reading, on February 14, 1928, a son of the late Katie (Marks) and Irwin Huyett.

He was the husband of Shirley (Larish) Huyett, they were married for 67 years.

Mr. Huyett served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

He worked in the maintenance department at Arrow International, Reading; previously Irwin worked for Brown Trailer for 21 years as a lift driver.

Irwin is survived by
four daughters, Shelly, wife of Thomas Docherty, of Mohnton;
Lisa DeLand, of Mohnton, Sheila Huyett, of Sinking Spring, Shirley Huyett, of Wyomissing, and a son, Dennis, husband of Carol Huyett, of Honey Brook.

He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Travis, Trevor, Devin, Tara, Ashley, Ara and Ryan; 9 great grandchildren Madison, Bradyn, Logan, Emily, Savannah, Dustin, Carson, Hunter and Haizley.

Mr. Huyett was predeceased by a son Irvin, a grandson Joshua and brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Sanders Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading, Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 P.M. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
