Obituary for Walter C. McNeal

Walter C. McNeal, 90, of Reading, passed away Thursday, February 8th, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

Walter was born in Allentown, on March 14, 1927, a son of the late Helen (Williamson) and William B. McNeal.

He was the widower of Elizabeth R. (Emerich) McNeal. Mrs. McNeal died September 11, 2006.

He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. Walter was employed by Local Union 420 as a steam fitter, pipe welder.

Walter is survived by two daughters, Beverly Youse, and Sandra Borrell; and a son, John McNeal, all of Fleetwood.

Walter is also survived by a sister, Emily Hood, of Ephrata; and by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by a sister Mary Clemmer and a brother Charles.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15th at Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th St., Reading.

Friends are invited to call Thursday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice 2201 Ridgewood Rd. #180 Wyomissing, PA 19610.

Interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
