  1. Dear Doug & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your Grandfather.
No matter the age a loved one attains in life it always seems we want them here just a little longer. Your Grandfather would surely want you to celebrate the life he led and not mourn his passing. You were certainly blessed to have had so many wonderful years to share with him. Noticing that he was a Masonic man only confirms my thoughts that he was a good man who in the teachings of the lodge believed that when it was his turn he would go peacefully, knowing that he will meet his loved ones who have gone before and will prepare a place for those who will come later. May it comfort you to know that people who care about you share in your sorrow but want you to recall all of the wonderful memories you hold so deeply in your heart. May those memories of happier times console you at this time and bring you comfort.
My warmest thoughts to you and yours at this difficult time.
Trust in God and he shall direct thy paths.
    Sincerely,
    your bowling buddy
    Nancy & husband Tommy

  2. We are deeply saddened by the loss of this gentle and caring man. Although he was not our father-in-law, we cared deeply for him, and will miss him greatly. He was so proud of his apartment at Country Meadows, and loved company. He had a ready smile, and was a good conversationalist. We will always cherish our trips to New Jersey with him for Thanksgiving, and also meeting with him and his family from Mississippi, etc. May he rest in peace. Love to him always. Joan and Sonny

  3. Russell was the loyal companion of my aunt Lucile Kauffman. He visited her faithfully when they were both at Country Meadows and when she was transferred to the Highlands.

  4. I was a driver at Country Meadows and had the pleasure of driving Russell to his appointments and his visits to the Highlands. We had many interesting conversations during these drives. My sincerest condolonces to his family.

  5. fond memories of Russel at Sears

  6. I worked with Russ and Lucy for all of my 32 years at Sears where we had much fun together. They were my very close friends and I will miss my visits with them at Country Meadows and the Highlands.

  7. My sympathy goes to his family as I know that he was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandparent.
