Markie, my friend, you will be missed…lots of great memories of the times we shared.
Mark was a great guy and great friend to all growing up. I went to school with Mark from K - 12. He was very popular and a friend to all. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Haven’t seen Mark since 1969. I came back for the RHS reunion in ‘94, but he didn’t attend. Remember playing guitars and Beatle songs with him, and cruising in his green MG and black Malibu. Here’s to you, buddy…
Although I only knew Mark for a short time I liked him very much. I wish all Mark’s family peace in this time of sorry. I will pray for Mark.
i was shocked to read that Mark passed. i will remember my childhood friend fondly. i still listen to the recordings that Mark, Bob and myself made in my living room. he didn’t sing that great but he could write a good tune. with sadness, i will listen to them again tonight. if you are interested in getting a copy, contact me. i’m not sure he knew i had them
I was saddend to learn about Mark’s passing today. I have know Mark since the 4th grade at 13th and Union Elementary School. We played in various sporting events until we graduated from Reading High School in 1969. He was a great baseball player (much better than me)! While in college , we both worked at UPS as part timers, loading and unloading their delivery vehicles. Mark was part of the PAL program at the 11th and Pike Playground the years that we were in public school. Something to be said for that PAL program. All the kids that went to 11th and Pike in those days and were part of PAL, graduated high school if not college and were good business leaders in the community. Mark is an excellent of this. We will miss him!!! Gone but not forgotten!!

So sorry to hear about Mark’s passing. We had just reconnected after many years. We attended Northeast and RHS together. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
Brad - Our family would like to pass along our condolences on the passing of your father. We wish you and your family the best during this difficult time.
Sincerely - Bill & Roberta
I have many fond memories of our childhood years; wiffle ball and games in the alley and at 13th and union and 11th and pike playgrounds. We shared hours in little league baseball and later baseball and football at the great northeast. Mark was a big part of the championship football team and was a talented shortstop. Later his talent was evident as the starting shortstop at Reading High School.Mark was a jovial classmate with a hearty laugh. Like others in the class of ‘69, he will be missed. I regret not having a chance to re-live some of those memories with mark.
I went to school with Mark and he, my friend Linda, and I always “hung out” together. Rather than go on a class trip, about 8 of us chose to have our own class picnic at the river. We had a great time, great pictures and a great guy. So sorry to hear that he’s left - haven’t seen him since graduation.
I’ll miss the witty comments that Mark would offer as he walked by the house with Sam, the greyhound. And I will enjoy the fun memories of us trying to rollerblade a few years ago around our neighborhood and running into the curbs and grass. He was a good neighbor.
Where do I begin…. We loved Mark! I loved Mark! Our deepest sympathies from his family at Johnny Apple’s in Holland/Langhorne, Pa. It will never be the same without him.
To Brad and Tim, trust me, when I say, he was so very proud of both of you, he talked to me about you both and told me all the time how he loved you!
Please know, your father was a very special man, successful, totally respected, and we all loved him. Forever there will be an emptiness in our hearts! He touched our lives and made footprints!
Mike was his best friend! My love, thoughts and prayers go out to him also! He loved Mike. Mike was always there! Always!!
To Mark, you know I love you, I hope you are loving that camera, taking pictures of all of us, playing the guitar, listening to the beatles, and I know you are loving that new car!!! I promise we are still going to go dancing at Guido’s! Let me know when you are done the dance lessons! Don’t worry, we are taking care of Sam!! After last summer we all want to care for her. She misses you too! We know you are looking over us. We will all be together some day!
We could all tell wonderful stories of Mark. Just know we all loved him, I loved him, Mike especially.
Our deepest sympathies,
We love you Mark,
Always and Forever,
Michele, Jim and Johnny Apples
P.S. Right back at you Mark!
