Sperber, Joyce C.

Joyce C. Sperber, 80, of Reading, passed away at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, July 1st, while in the company of family members in her son’s residence.

Joyce was born in Reading, on December 20, 1929, the daughter of the late William E. and Mary C. (Schultz) Diemand.

She was the wife of Gustave H. Sperber.

She worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Grimm.

Mrs. Sperber was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Golden Rule Chapter.

Joyce graduated from Reading High School in 1947.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Reading.

Joyce is survived by
a son,Todd W. husband of Judy Sperber of Mertztown.

She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Lauren M. Sperber - Maxwell, Erik T., Michelle L. and Christine R. Sperber and 2 step-grandchildren Chris J. and, Andrew R. DeCrocker. Also, one great granddaughter Lilly M.

Services from the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 6th, with The Rev. Jacqueline Danisvewski officiating.

Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment at Laureldale Cemetery Muhlenberg Twp, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 11th and Union Sts. Reading, PA 19604.

We have many fond memories of Joyce; going to the pool with the kids and ‘baking’ in the sun with Dottie in the backyard. We also have great memories of Joyce being a great neighbor on the block. I am so sorry I couldn’t be there today…bad timing..no car…I want to give my deepest sympathy to all…I know that Joyce was a good daughter, wife, grandmother, person and the best mother ever…its hard to believe, but I know that she is in a better place and will be with us again one day…the beauty of her life is reflected in all of her family…I will pray for you to have peace and comfort always.

  9. Junior, since we do not get the paper,we only found out about your loss on 7/7/10 and feel bad we did not get to respond sooner.We are sorry for your loss and hope you are holding up well! Our thoughts are with you.We know Joyce will be missed.She was a terrific person.
