Virginia R. (Ginny) Broad, 96,formerly of Reading, passed away Monday, October 18th, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Exeter Township.
Virginia was born in Reading, on July 12, 1914, the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Good) Clemmer.
She was a life member of East Ends Club and Democratic Association-Ladies Auxiliary and she was member of the Young Mens Democratic Association.
She was a member of St. Thomas U.C.C.,Reading.
Virginia is survived by
a son,John R. Broad,husband of Helen of Huntington Beach,CA.
She is also survived by 2 grandchildren-John Broad,Jr.,husband of Carmen and Mary L,wife of R.J.. McNeill and great grandchildren-Breanna,Miranda,Samantha,Devin McNeill and Caitlin and Megan Broad.
Services from Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.,1501 N. 11th St., Reading, at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 25th.
Friends are invited to call Monday 9:00-10:00 AM. at the funeral home.
Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park .
Bobby, so sorry to read about your mom. WOW! she lived a long life. I didn’t realize she was still with us. My mom and dad are both gone (mom at 78-dad at 94). It’s hard to realize both of your parents are gone. My sincere condolences with you and your family andd I’ll try to be at the services on Monday. I remember so many times with your mom and mine sitting together drinking beer and eating Italian sandwiches ( which they made me walk to Screpesi’s for them at about 10 at night) Also they wouldn’t share! So sorry for your loss.

I got to know Virginia while my Mother was at the Golden Living Center back in 2006. She was always very nice and talked about her son who lived in California. She loved all the things that you sent to her. She was such a lovely lady. My husband and I wish to send our condolences to her family at this sad time.
