Griffith, Richard H.
Richard H. Griffith, 91, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, January 17th, peacefully, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Richard was born in Reading, on August 18, 1920, a son of the late Dorothy (Rauenzahn) and Edward Griffith.
He was the widower of Claire M. (Toker) Griffith. She died on December 21, 2002.
Richard worked as a delivery milkman for St. Lawrence & Clover Farms Dairies.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in WW II.
Mr. Griffith was a former member of the Pocono Beagle Club, Leesport.
Richard graduated from Reading High School in 1939.
He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena, Reading.
Richard is survived by
two daughters, Carol M., wife of Brian Swisher, of Pennside; Kathryn A., wife of John Behm, of Muhlenberg; two sons Kevin T., husband of Nancy Griffith, of Denver, Lancaster Co.; Richard P., husband of Maria Griffith, of Reading.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, Mt. Penn, at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 21st.
Friends are invited to call Saturday 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. at the Sanders Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading.
Entombment Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
