Miller,Richard A.,Sr.

Richard A. Miller, Sr., 80, of Temple, passed away Monday, January 23rd, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

Richard was born in Reading, on April 2, 1931, a son of the late Mary (Keim) and Harry Miller.

He was the husband of Jessie J.(Kulp) Miller.

Mr. Miller worked in shipping at CarTech, Reading, for 39 years. He then was a greeter at Sam’s Club.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

He was a Ivy Leaf Club member, weekly CarTech Fellowship Club member and an avid Duke Basketball and Penn State Football Fan.

Richard is survived by
a daughter, Christine M., wife of Doug Werner, of Exeter;
three sons Richard A.,Jr., husband of Barbara (Mull) Miller, of Leesport; William M. Miller, of West Lawn; Harry J., husband of Patricia (Bensinger) Miller, of West Reading;

Richard is also survived by
a sister, Florence M. Wood, of Delaware. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Religious Service at the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27th, with The Reverend Paul Jones officiating.

Friends are invited to call Friday 11:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Home of Reading 1010 Centre Avenue Reading, PA .,19601.
