Mathews, Mary I.

Mary I. Mathews, 83, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, October 3rd, at Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center.

Mary was born in Reading, on February 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Ida (Pompei) and Edward Borzacchini.

She was the wife of Charles E. Mathews.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church,1018 N. 8th St., Reading,Pa. 19604.

Mary was a 1951 Central Catholic High School Graduate
She was employed as a secretary at Luden’s in Reading and Mary later on worked for Rundle’s Pharmacy for 20 years.

Mary loved to crochet,sew and make crafts.

Mary is also survived by
a daughter, Kathleen M.Sullivan, fiancee of Jeff Rathkey , of Mt. Penn.
two sons David C., husband of Sherri Mathews, of Riverview Park; Michael P. Mathews, of Muhlenberg Twp.

Also surviving are 4 grandchildren-Steven-husband of Erin Mathews,Nicholas Mathews,Jess Mathews,fiancee of Jason Plageman and Zachary Sullivan

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7th at Gethsemane Chapel of Resurrection 3139 Kutztown Rd.,Reading ,Pa.

Inurnment in Gethsemane Chapel of St. George.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.
